Student Of The Year 2, Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria and Aditya Seal hits the screens today and the early responses have begun pouring in.

The movie STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2 is the tale of triumph, love and making a comeback. Rohan (Tiger Shroff) and Mridula (Tara Sutaria) study together in Pishori Chamanlal school. Both are infatuated (love) and there comes when Mridula changes her college and gets admission in the esteemed St Teresa College. Rohan too needs to get admission in this college yet realizing that the fees there is excessively expensive, he institution the plan. He still tries his luck and looks for admission under the sports quota. As it would turn out, his admission is approved. Rohan comes to there and realizes that Mridula has changed. First of all, she currently calls herself Mia. She also gets somewhat detached with Rohan. In any case, However Rohan wins her heart and the two of them again become a couple. In the mean time, Rohan is introduced with the Teresa’s stud and star competitor, Manav Mehra (Aditya Seal). They quickly become friends yet Manav’s sister Shreya (Ananya Panday) detests him. She generally attempts her best to place Rohan in a spot.At the time of the dance competition of the college, Rohan and Mia team up while Manav and Shreya together participated. For both the young ladies, winning the challenge is very crucial. Mia needs to achieve popularity and she understands that this competition will be a step in that direction. Shreya, in the mean time, needs to get away from the grasp of her tyrannical dad Mr Randhawa (Chetan Pandit) and furthermore her over-achiever brother Manav and enrol in a dance school in London. During the competition, Manav and Shreya win while Rohan and Mia get defeated as Mia loses her hold. Mia is devastated and when Rohan goes to support her, he finds Mia and Manav cosying up to one another. A angry Rohan punches Manav. This activity prompts Rohan’s removal from St Teresa. Manav, still cross over getting hit by Rohan, gangs up and beats Rohan black and blue. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

There has been much buzz and publicity around this film, as it is a sequel of the 2012 film which launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra.

Fans have hailed SOTY 2 as a performer and appear to be inspired with Ananya and Tara’s performances.

However, there seem to be some negative reviews as well.

One wrote, “#StudentOfTheYear2: Trash. Time Waste. Film full of trash actors. @karanjohar a request to you, please understand the situation of distributors. Firstly Kalank gave us loses and looks like SoTY 2 too will give us loses.
All eyes on Ajay’s De De Pyaar De.”

Directed by Punit Malhotra, Student Of The Year 2 is a sequel to Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year and revolves around the newest batch of students of the prestigious Saint Teresa’s College including Rohan (Tiger Shroff), Shreya (Ananya Panday) and Mia (Tara Sutaria). It is scheduled to open in theatres on May 10.

On the whole, STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2 is an entertaining and an enjoyable fare which will strike a chord in the audience’s hearts. At the box office, it has the potential to do excellent business!
